Moruya Albert Street grass fire deemed suspicious


Fire and Rescue NSW Station 384 Moruya report:

23 May 19 02:30am P384 called to grass fire in Albert Street.

Crews swiftly responded to scene to find a large area of grass alight. P384s was also requested at time of arrival to assist with extinguishing.

Crews spent an hour and a half extinguishing the fire amongst large blackberry bushes and thick grass. Area rendered safe and blacked out. Fire cause was deemed suspicious.

On a side note, if you see an incident where emergency vehicles and personnel are in attendance please try refrain from driving or passing past or around the incident to allow us to do our jobs safely.
