There were perfect conditions for this evening’s Broulee run/walk. Keely Boon and Finn Holmes were new members of the 52 starters, who were sent on their way by starter David McCann. The event is a great family affair and it was pleasing to see Robyn Domeny participating, she is the mother and grandmother of 4 other members of her clan. Robyn only recently recovered from a serious illness, which required hospitalisation in Canberra, and now she is back pounding the pavement.
In the 2 kilometres personal best times were recorded by Aaron, Freya and Sadie Dunn as well as Mitchell Beby. In the 3.5 kilometres Mary Anderson and Isabella Lopresti improved.
In the 5 kilometres the improvers were Matty Woods and Jason Domeny. Both were impressive in a strong field of athletes contesting this distance.
Peter Jackson, who helped start the event 12 years ago, would have been proud to see two of his grandsons Dylan and Finn Holmes racing one another over the 3.5 kilometres.
