Narooma CWA is again hosting a busking site and you can enjoy the entertainment while supporting the CWA. You might even be able to purchase cake/craft to take home from a trading table at the same time. Hope to see you there.

Past State Vice-President Sally James and Narooma Vice-President recently attended the CWA State Conference in Albury, which some of you will remember as an egging attempt on The Prime Minister. This was not the only thing that happened there, as many resolutions were debated and now the CWA will be approaching govts with their concerns on the Inland Rail corridor; supporting placements financially for University Nursing students; penalties for Rural Crime offenders; keeping travelling stock routes available; “meat” and “milk” product labelling for animal produce only; public cancer clinic availability in regional/ rural centres; banning instant cash loan machines, and that is not all. Narooma’s Sally James had been a State Vice-President for 2 yrs and at Albury her time in this position was commended by out going State president Annette Turner from White Cliffs. The new State President is Stephanie Stanhope from Bega branch, which like Narooma is part of the Far South Coast Group. Narooma branch congratulates and sends best wishes for Stephanie in this important role.

Don’t forget that Narooma branch has a choir/ drama group that meets Tues 1.30pm choir, 2.30pm drama and a welcoming Craft group Friday mornings 10am -noon in CWA rooms near cinema. Drop in, we would welcome your company. Need info/transport ring Sally james 4476-1691 or ring /text Joanne King 0408433178.
