With the Narooma Men’s Shed having to move premises and start construction of their new facilities, local organisations have been offering their support. Narooma’s woodwork club, the Narooma Woodies, passed the hat around and has raised $500 to assist the Men’s Shed in their relocation from their current premises on Glasshouse Rocks Rd.
The Woodies invited the Men’s Shed to visit their workshop in Bodalla and presented the Men’s Shed with a cheque for $500 to assist in their move. They also gave the visitors from the Men’s Shed a tour of their three worksheds devoted to wood turning, toy making and general wood working.
Both groups are often seen around town selling their wares, especially at the monthly Narooma Markets.
While the Men’s Shed are focussed on their big move, the Woodies are busy preparing for the upcoming Tilba Woodwork Show to be held in the Central Tilba Community Halls on the June long weekend. This will be the 24th year of the show which is hosted by the combined Eurobodalla Shire woodwork clubs.
