The Beagle Editor,

Returning home to Goulburn for Easter and having a little time out to catch up on the news I was interested to see what Hume's MP, the Hon Angus Taylor, Minister for Energy, might have to say about the most pressing issue of our time: climate change.

Devastatingly little.

Despite being in a position to inspire us with hope of a bipartisan energy revolution consisting of heavy backing for renewables and electric cars, he seems more concerned with dealing in the Monopoly money world of leftover carbon credits and undermining any alternative political parties attempts at action on this climate change crisis.

As a medical doctor I am trained to practice under an evidence base. Mr Taylor, the IPCC has given you an evidence base and is screaming at us to take note and act today. Live up to your title, do the Honorable thing and address climate change as the emergency that it is.

And in the meantime I will be taking your sign off my parents' front gate as I cannot support a Member who doesn't support my children's right for a future.
