Artists line up for Narooma exhibition

A group of local artists will mount a combined exhibition in Narooma’s SoART Gallery from 17 to 27 April, which includes the Easter weekend.

“A few of us put on an exhibition over Easter last year and it was such a success and so much fun, we decided to do it again this year but for longer,” said one of the artists Marg Ingamells.

“Other artists also wanted to join us; while we included many of them unfortunately we couldn’t accommodate them all in the SoART Gallery which is of course why we’re proposing to build the Narooma Arts & Community Centre.”

A selection of work from these artists will be on display from a variety of media, from jewellery to pencil drawings, from sculpture to acrylics and pastels.

“It will be a feast of colour showing there’s no shortage of creativity among our local artists,” said another of the exhibiting artists Joy Macfarlane.

“It’s so exciting to have attracted so much interest, we even have a waiting list.” Everyone is invited to join in the fun and celebrate the opening of the exhibition on Thursday 18 April at 5.30 for 6.00 pm.
