Great Pairing Wins American Foursomes

With overnight rain clearing a good field of 57 players ventured onto the course for this morning's American Foursomes event. Winners on the day were the handy pairing of Greg Smith and Neal Watson with an impressive 27.75 strokes on a course rated at 35.

Runners up were Rick Brake and Richard Wharton on 29.37, followed home by Peter McRae and Mike Birks on 33.5 and Dorothy Madden and Bruce Martin on 33.75 on count back. Balls or chocolates went to Don Russell and Peter McRae on 33.75, Derek Hoare and Peg Nevett on 34.37, Andrew Gordon and Len Rogers on 35, Leonie Snodgrass and Steve Johnston on 35.25 and finally Ted and Shirley Quinlan on 35.87.

The unlucky pair winning the Bradman award this week were John Cox and Kevin Dukes. Nearest the pins were won by Richard Kelly on the 4th, David Williams on the 6th, and Kay McLeod and Ted Quinlan on the 7th. Ken Brown took out the Accuracy drive.
