2019 NSW & ACT State Skydiving Championships at Moruya Oct 5th to 7th

Registrations are coming in fast for this years’ State Championships to be held at Moruya Airport from Saturday 5th to Monday 7th of October. There will be about 50 skydivers taking to the skies over Moruya on the 5th, 6th & 7th October 2019 to try and claim the Bronze, Silver and Gold medals and go on to represent NSW in the National Championships early next year!

Participants will compete in 12 different events over the 3 days.  This is the seventh year Skydive Oz has hosted the State Championships in Moruya and drop zone owner Paul Smith says ‘I’m pleased to continue the tradition of bringing the NSW & ACT Skydiving State Championships to Moruya and to showcase our home on the south coast of NSW.”

Australian athletes from last years World Parachuting Championships hosted in the Gold Coast will be coaching at the event.

Australian record holder, Jules McConnel states ‘I’m looking forward to supporting the up and coming teams at a location close to my heart’. Jules, who worked at Skydive Oz for many years also says ‘Moruya is a very special place to me and to all the competitors. The views are amazing and the locals are always very welcoming!’

As usual, the grounds are open to the public for watching the event first hand. There are BBQ facilities and food and drinks are available for purchase onsite.

During the busy event Skydive Oz will be offering tandem skydives to the beach - spots are running out so make sure you secure your booking in advance.
