Corunna residents disgusted at Forestry audacity and dark of night antics

BREAKING: Dawn at the side of the Princes Highway has become a parking lot as residents converge to express to #FCNSW Forestry Corp NSW that they do not want Forestry to continue logging, and that they do not want Log Dump 1 to go ahead on the cusp of the Sea Eagle Exclusion Zone and that they do not want the public walkway to Corunna Lake logged!

Popularly dismissed as greenies and leftists and dole bludgers what is revealed is to anyone calling by and meeting the protesters is that that they are residents.

A spokesperson at the gathering this morning said "After negotiating with Forestry since March 2018 residents have NEVER STOPPED expressing this view - and now more than 50 people have taken the morning off from work to say #ENOUGHISENOUGH"

"This meeting is being held as Forestry has worked around the clock this week, even working at 3am on Tuesday as residents were awoken by the noise and drove around to see what on earth was going on. How the threatened species at Corunna Lake ever had any hope is beyond imagination."

"Residents will resume meeting to stop the logging again at 7am tomorrow morning, for as long as it takes for Forestry Corporation to get the message that this operation is NOT WANTED here."

"Forestry Corp stated as recently as two days ago that residents were very happy about the logging and fully supported this operation. Well guess what, they aren't !!"

"Yesterday residents discovered Watertank Road was closed without their knowledge and that they are shocked LOGGING is occurring so close to the Batemans Bay Marine Park."

"This logging occurs as Forestry also have advised neighbours that this is the LAST time Corunna will be logged before it becomes a NATIONAL PARK!"
