Moruya Community Workshed news

The Moruya Community Workshed recently held its AGM and elected a new group of willing volunteers to keep us forging ahead. Obviously, the provision of copious amounts of cake did the trick.

Our new president is Bruce Findlay, Vice President Eddie de Wilde, Treasurer David Lomas and Secretary Sharlie Young . We expressed thanks to the outgoing committee who have held their positions for a number of years.

Our latest project moving into our new year is the construction of benches and coffee tables for the Batemans Bay Paddle Challenge in 2019. The workshed is a hive of activity as pallets are being converted into seating with several design options and we are already about halfway through the order.

Whilst we mostly do members’ DIY projects, this has been a welcome windfall for us.

Come join us for a cuppa and chat. Enquiries to Bruce Findlay on 0423 710 067.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
