Ladies Scoop the Pool at Vets 4BBB Stableford

Sixty one players ventured onto the course for today's 4BBB Stableford event. Despite recently sanded greens scores were above average with results as follows:

1st: Kaye Lunt and Solveig Olsson with 26 points, on count back.

2nd: Robert McKirdy and Michael Kermode , also on 26, and also on count back.

3rd: Rick Brake and Terry Challender with 26 points.

4th: Richard Kelly and Greg Thornton on 24 points, on count back.

Ball or Chocolate:

Derek Hoare and Peg Nevett, together with Len and Gail Rogers on 24, Mike Birks and Michael Nordsvan, Henry Anderson and Terry Lunn, and finally Paul Pereira and Frank Pomfret, all teams on 23 points, and all on count back.

Bradman Award:

Yet another count back was required to determine the winner of the infamous award, but Teri and Steve Swanbury won out in the end.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Greg Thornton.

6th: Michael Kermode, missing a hole in one by approximately 100mm.

Ladies 7th: Kaye Lunt, in the hole.

Men's 7th: Frank Pomfret from Paul Pereira on the toss of a coin, both players in the hole.


Peter McRae belted one a long way down the middle to take out this week's award.

Next Week:

Next week's event will be a Single Stableford event with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am.
