The Beagle Editor, What’s going on with the Rural Lands Strategy is that it is being fast tracked to have it all signed off on by the State Election next year. There’s some concern that should Labor get control they may not necessarily support what has occurred with the RLS. The mayor is well aware of the urgency to complete it all under the present State Government. Councillors are not necessarily kept in loop of the State government agendas. But they need to start showing more attention and ask informed questions in workshops and other briefings. There is a naive stupidity in council not showing itself to be politically neutral. But ours is not as neutral as it seems as seen by the loathing the Mayor showed recently for the Greens with her recent live-streaming outburst. Nor can we can't forget her comment around the LGNSW being political when she encouraged her fellow councillors to leave that organisation. The comment was based around the LGNSW being Labor heavy which flies in the face of the Liberal supporting council who openly and gushingly support the Member for Gilmore, Ann Sudmalis, in her electioneering video promotions. Go Team. The proof will be in the pudding. Name and Address supplied
