Husband and Wife team up for Stableford Multiplier win


A smaller than normal field of 47 players teed of for this morning's 2 Person Team Stableford Multiplier event, a game requiring each player to score on every hole in order to maximise the team score overall.

Results on the day were as follows:

1st: Steve and Teri Swanbury with a good score of 43 points.

2nd: Michael Godford and Don Russell on 40 points.

3rd: Henry Anderson and David Williams with 36 points.

4th: Greg Thornton and Richard Kelly on 30 points.

Ball or Chocolate:

Ross and Gayle Macalpine together with Leigh Edwards and Michael Kermode on 24, and finally Rick Brake and Rob Nash on 23.

Bradman Award:

Having played 18 holes in a charity game only the day before, two of our more senior players in Tim Starr and Les Johanson struggled to combine as a team and took out the award this week.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Kevin Dukes.

6th: Chris Wratten.

Ladies 7th: Teri Swanbury.

Men's 7th: Frank Pomfret.

Accuracy:

Greg Smith hit a fine straight drive down the 5th fairway to take out this week's accuracy award.

Next Week:

Next week's event is a Stroke and Putts game, and also the second and final round of the Tuross Vets Championships for 2018. Registration is from 7.45am in the downstairs sports bar area with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
