Brolgas and Flamingos are statuesque birds characterised by their long legs and attractive plumage.

Broulee's Thursday ladies have adopted these gorgeous creatures as their team names and they definitely fit the bill – or is it beak?

On August 15th Broulee's Division Two and Three ladies hosted a fabulous day of tennis where the Flamingos dominated the the Bay Breakers.

Meanwhile the Brolgas, who lead the points table in Division Three, had to battle valiantly to hold off the sparkling Tuross Rubies who eventually drew on sets and won by 5 games , well done ladies.

A delicious lunch was served in Broulee's newly renovated kitchen with pink Flamingos decorating the cups , plates and even the chocolate brownies
