The Festival of Open Minds - Sept 1st in Bega

The Festival of Open Minds has been inspired by a regional community that values shared conversation, personal reflection, the wisdom of experience, and FUN!

A dynamic program of speakers has been assembled for September 1 at the Bega Civic Centre, a TEDx style event that will have people talking

The broad festival theme is ‘change’:

  • Catherine McGregor will share her story of gender transformation

  • Hugh Mackay will give us a head start on Australia’s future

  • Gabbie Stroud wants better for our children’s education

  • Sussan Ley and Linda Burney will share their perspective as Federal MP’s

  • Dr Leeanda Wilton will reflect on 40 years of IVF

Plus a host of stellar local speakers will add a regional flavour and relevance that will inspire and ‘open your mind’.

Check out the full program HERE, tickets are just $30, high schoolers (12 to 19 years) are free.

The Festival of Open Minds pulls together national and local ideas with the aim of strengthening regional communities and providing an opportunity normally only available via a toll way or airport check in lounge.

The stunning natural landscape of the Bega Valley naturally relaxes and open minds, the people who will gather to witness and take part in this event adds to the promise and power of the day.

Seeing this from outta town? Make a weekend of it and add to the experience, stay in Bega, Tathra, Merimbula, or Pambula. Tickets HERE

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
