Some things for Probus to think about

MEMBERS of Moruya Probus Club will have some decisions to make at their monthly meeting on August 28.

The club’s committee meeting on Tuesday decided that on Tuesday, the decisions mainly relating to proposed outings for members.

They include high tea at Bodalla Bakery, proposed for September 11, a visit to Willinga Park, Bawley Point, on a date to be decided, an outing with Eurobodalla Classic and Vintage Motor Club, also on a date to be set, and a cruise up the Clyde that was originally proposed for September but now seems likely to be taken early in 2019.

The meeting will also welcome another new member at the August meeting and hear some details of the photo competition set down for September.

Tuesday’s meeting, held at Moruya Golf Club, was also told that the guest speaker at the monthly meeting would be Rohan Gleeson who will talk about the NBN.

Moruya Probus meets at Moruya Golf Club at ten-o’clock on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

There are many advantages with being a member of Probus. Apart from meeting new friends, and sometimes some old ones, there are opportunities of being involved in outings. There are discounts for some members with restaurants and hotels and more reasonable travel insurance rates that seniors may otherwise be offered.
