Vegies For All - Moruya - Friday August 24th

Due to huge demand, SAGE have scheduled another Veggies for All workshop in MORUYA on Friday 24th August at 11.00am. Bookings are now open via our website and are just $15 per person to attend. Please book online or direct your enquiries to Rob on 0474 700 991. Some Background In 2017, SAGE ran a series of 2-hour workshops at various locations within the Eurobodalla that introduced novices to home gardening. The series of workshops called "Veggies for All" was supported with grant funds from IMB Bank and donations from a number of local businesses. It was so successful, the IMB Community Foundation has awarded an even bigger grant for 2018, so SAGE can reach more Eurobodalla residents, especially low income earners, to help them start to grow some of their own food in their own garden. After attending a workshop, Centrelink benefit recipients are also eligible to have a raised vegetable bed fully installed and ready to grow in their own yard, completely free. Conditions apply. Sage installed over 50 garden beds in 2017 and they're aiming to install another 70 this year! That's a lot of people growing and eating their own, highly nutritious vegetables, while saving hundreds of dollars. Kyle Levier of Fulcrum Farm, SAGE's first ever market gardener intern, is the presenter of these workshops. He will provide all the information needed to get started in growing veggies at home, or even help with advice for people already growing, and generally share his passion for backyard gardening. Since 2013, Kyle has developed a great talent for growing highly nutritious and tasty vegetables and is an excellent communicator.
