Tim Starr best of Tuross Head veteran golfers in novelty event

The Tuross veteran golfers played this weeks stableford competition using only three clubs, one of which is a putter.

This game is a challenge and often produces some surprising results. This was highlighted this week when Tim Starr scored an amazing round of 26 stableford points for the nine hole event.

He was followed by Dorothy Madden, Kay Lunt and T. Crook all on 21 points, G. Smith 20, R. Brake, A. Ware and N. Fletcher 18, B. Hoban, G. Rogers, R. Lunt, G. Pratt and T. Swanbury 17 with M. Kors and L. Snodgrass, both on 16 points, taking out the remaining awards.

Nearest the pins were won by R. Lunt on the 4th hole, G. Smith on the 6th and A.Ware won the ladies on the 7th and D. Jackson was the men's winner the men.
