Moruya District Hospital Auxiliary: Good News For 2017-18

Moruya District Hospital Auxiliary held its AGM recently and the new Executive is: President Julie Corkin, Secretary Kath Smith, Treasurer Chris Smith and 2 Vice Presidents Anne Moylan and Lyn Rixon

Leanne Ovington Director of Nursing & Midwifery Moruya & Batemans Bay Hospitals attended and thanked the Auxiliary for all the fundraising efforts during the year.

We are pleased to inform the community this financial year 2017/18 the Auxiliary gifted to the Moruya District Hospital items to the value of $148,540.69 for equipment and facilities throughout all departments of the hospital for the comfort and care of patients. All items purchased by the Auxiliary remain at Moruya Hospital. We are proud to be able to support the patients and staff at our hospital and our thanks go to the community for their ongoing support.

Our next big fundraising event is a 2 day Book Fair at Shop 5, 60 Queen St Moruya (behind Harris Scarfe) - Friday 3 August 9.00am to 3.00pm & Saturday 4 August 9.00am to 1.00pm. Great books in excellent condition, nothing over $5 - thank you to the community for their donations. Because of their generosity we DO NOT need any more books.

Saturday will include a stall with jams, pickles, relishes, sauces and some great beanies, bed socks and scarves for sale to help you get through this cold Winter.

Donations over $2 are tax deductable. 100% of all donations to the Auxiliary is used to purchase equipment for Moruya District Hospital & Community Health.
