Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens 2018 Photographic Competition now OPEN



Friends of Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens in partnership with the Eurobodalla Shire Council would like to give all photographers the opportunity to enter the Gardens

2018 Photographic Competition.

Entry to the competition is free. All entrants have a chance to win cash prizes and have their images selected for inclusion in the 2018 Botanic Gardens Calendar. Funds raised from the sale of this popular calendar are used to support the further development of the Botanic Gardens and its important role in the conservation of the region’s flora.

The competition will award a prize in a junior section (under 18) and a senior section. The public will have the opportunity to vote on their favourite image, which will win the

People’s Choice Award.

SECTIONS

· Senior section- winner will receive $500.00 donated by the Batemans Bay Soldiers

’Club.

Second is a $50 Voucher for merchandise/Plants at the Gardens

· Junior section winner will receive $300.00.

· People’s Choice Award winner will receive $250.00

CATEGORIES

· Flora/fungi images may be of flowering/non-flowering plants and can include mosses and fungi found in the Gardens

· Textures & Patterns in nature · Landscape – can include structures, people and/or wildlife

· Fur & Feathers – any animal/birdlife found in the Gardens

How to Enter

· Pick up and fill out a Photo Consent Form available on line www.erbg.org.au or from the Gardens Visitors Centre

· Deliver your clearly labelled entries together with the completed Photo Consent

Form to the Gardens Visitors Centre no later than 4pm September 14 Sept 2018

· Entries will be exhibited at the Gardens - 21 Sept to 6 Oct 2018 and winners announced on 26 th Oct 2018

· Entries will be available for collection from the Gardens Visitors Centre from 29 Oct 2017 during business hrs.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
