Two charged after multiple properties allegedly damaged across The Hume and South Coast Police Districts

A man and woman will face court charged with multiple offences after a vehicle was allegedly stolen and a number of properties damaged across two police districts in the state’s south.

Police will allege in court a 42-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman left Batemans Bay and from 10pm on Saturday 23 June 2018, the pair attended and damaged a number of rural properties within the South Coast and the Hume region.

Following a joint investigation with The Hume and South Coast Police Districts, just before 8pm yesterday (Monday 25 June 2018), police attended a home on High Street, Batemans Bay, and arrested a 42-year-old man, following a short foot pursuit.

He was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station where he was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, steal vessel, destroy or damage property, three counts of enter vehicle or boat without consent of owner, two counts of goods in custody suspected of being stolen and possess prohibited drug.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday 2 July 2018.

A 40-year-old woman was arrested about 6.30am on Sunday 24 June in Fitzroy Falls. She was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where she was charged with enter enclosed lands, enter vehicle without the consent of the owner, larceny, and be carried in conveyance without the consent of the owner. The woman was refused bail and is due to reappear at Moss Vale Local Court today on Tuesday 3 July 2018. NSW Police Media Release
