The popular duo "Two Dogz Plucking" will be holding the official launch of its new CD at Lynch's Hotel in Narooma on Saturday June 9th from 7:30pm until late.
The CD, titled "6 Pack", contains 7 songs written by local singer/songwriter Glenn "Mongrel" Mood and performed by Glenn and fellow band member Bob "Good Boy" Mettam. Bob explains that there's 7 songs because after a 6 pack one sometimes needs a "hair of the dog"!
Glenn and Bob are highly experienced and competent musicians. Both have been involved with recording music previously, and would especially like to thank Dan Effraemson for the fantastic job he did in producing and mixing the CD.
Glenn is a well-known local identity who has been playing in both Sydney and local bands for over 40 years. Bob played for many years in bands based around Canberra starting in the late 60's, studied Musicianship at the School of Music and taught guitar before moving to the South Coast 6 years ago.
The pair got together about 18 months ago in retirement to continue their love of playing both original music and well-known covers, and have been gigging regularly since then. Their most recent appearance was in the Narooma National Busking Championship where they achieved 3rd place in the Open Division People's Choice category and were the highest placed local Open act.
