Tuross shines at FSCD bowls championships

The last of the Far South Coast District Championships has been played. The District Singles has been decided in difficult conditions at Bodalla. Sue Fahey (Tuross Head) won against the very strong competitor Denise Lidbury (Tuross Head). We look forward to the teams that will be representing the FSCD in both Regional and State Playoffs in the coming months.

The FSCD needs to recognise the achievements of Tuross Head this year.

This year 2018 has been a very exciting one for Tuross Head Women's Bowling Club. Tuross Head is one of the smaller clubs in the Far South Coast District ( FSCD), but they have had an exceptional year winning all the categories they entered of the District Championships.

1. Mixed Pairs

This event was won by Sue and John Fahey. They are now off to the regional playoffs at Bega on 2nd June

2. Singles

This event was played between Sue Fahey and Denise Lidbury (both Tuross Head), with Sue Fahey winning. Well done Tuross to have both a District Singles Champion and Runner up. They are now off to the regional playoffs at Bega in June.

3. Open Pairs

The team of Sue Fahey and Doreen Monks won the District Pairs, they then went on to win the Regional playoff and become the FSCD Open Pairs Champions. The next game is to contest the State Championship in September.

4. Triples

Once again a Tuross team consisting of Averial Cox,Rose Farrington, and Denise Lidbury were successful and won the District Triples Championship.

After this they progressed to the Regional Playoffs, and again won this event. This very successful team is now off to the State Championships in September

5.Open Fours

The team of Rose Farrington, Averial Cox, Sue Fahey and Denise Lidbury were successful in the Open Fours of FSCD. The next event is the Regional playoffs at Bega in early June.

Tuross can be very proud of the accomplishments of the Women's Bowling Club Members, they represent their District , home club and the community with good humour, integrity and skill.

The Tuross Community is very proud of these achievements.

CONGRATULATIONS TUROSS WOMEN'S BOWLING CLUB
