Richard Kelly’s Local Knowledge takes him to Stableford Win


On another beautiful Tuross morning a good field of 60 players registered for today's Single Stableford event. Results on the day were as follows:

1st: Richard Kelly with a great score of 23 points.

2nd: Patrick Sager with 22 points.

3rd: Dorothy Madden on 21 points on a three way count back.

Ball or Chocolate:

Bruce Ware and David Williams on 21, Henry Anderson and Jeanette Miller on 20, Annette Manton, Michael Godford and Allen Lee on 19, followed by Chris Wratten, Steve Swanbury, Peter Dugan, Terry Lunn, Tony Crook, Robert McKirdy, Rick Brake, Graham Moore and Terry Challender all on 18 points.

Bradman Award:

Today's Bradman award required a count back on the two lowest scores but the winner was one of our elder Vets, Noel Fletcher.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Steve Swanbury, in the hole.

6th: Steve Swanbury.

Ladies 7th: Annette Manton.

Men's 7th: Kevin Dukes.

Accuracy:

Herb Muriwai's shot down the 5th fairway was closest to the centre string line and today's winner of the Accuracy award.

Next Week:

Next week's event is a Par game with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am. Players are reminded that there will be no Vets golf on 25 April when the course will be closed for Anzac Day commemorations.
