Michael Allen takes out Tuross Stableford with a sound card


Tuross Head Country Club men's golf stableford competition, the final final round for the month, was won by Michael Allen with a sound card of 38 points.

He was followed by Peter Hogan with 37 points ahead of Michael Kermode, Ian Manton and Davis Gray all on 36 points.

Nearest the pins were won by:

A grade player Riley Wilcox on the 4th hole with 2.88 m.

and Ian Manton on the 6th with 1.50 m.

B grade golfer Trevor Jones was best on the 4th with 1.70 m and Jim Wade won the 6th with a close 57 cm.

C grade best on the 4th hole was Mike Allen with

Bruce Brawn winning the 6th hole with 2.90m.

Next week event is the monthly medal stroke and putt round and members are reminded that the club championships commence on Saturday and Sunday May 5th and 6th with the final round being played on Saturday 12th May.

Thursday's stableford medley was won by Ian Miller with 38 points ahead of Graeme Sindel and Peter Dugan both on 37, Jim Madden followed with 35 points.

Nearest the pins were won by Marty Booth on the 4th hole with 3.5 m, Ian Miller won the 6th hole with 3.36 and Marty Booth also won the 7th with 7.97 m.
