The Beagle Editor, Not like winning the pools! Thank you, Premier. The $26 million is a good start towards the estimated $46 million needed for the combined aquatic and arts facilities for Mackay Park Any idea where the remainder will come from without ratepayer burdens of a rate rise and/or even a long term debt from loan borrowings? Let's hope funding solution can be found and that there will be amendment of the concept plans to more closely align with the wishes of the community (as the mayor has said would be done). Council also has to ensure that whatever happens with the old bowlo site compliments the design of the aquatic/arts complex so we do end up with the magnificent gateway development we have been promised. There is an absolute need to get the planning right for this multi-generation development even if the bulldozers can't be on site before the next state elections in twelve months’ time.
