Tomakin history signs officially unveiled at Melville Point

Next time you visit Tomakin take note of their new history signs located at Melville Point, Jack Buckley Park and adjacent to the Kingston Place Toilet Block . The signs have now been officially unveiled by Member for Bega Andrew Constance and mayor Liz Innes of Eurobodalla Council With historical content sourced from Mark Young’s book Tomakin: The Undiscovered History the Tomakin Community Association (TCA) commissioned Geoff and the team at Bay Signs to make the three signs with a grant from the NSW Government.

The TCA invited the public to attend the formal unveiling of the Tomakin history signs at Melville Point and invited Andrew Constance to unveil one of the signs as a way of recognising the State grant.

There are still some from the first production run of "Tomakin: the Undiscovered History" left to purchase so be quick if you want a copy. Contact Tomakin Community Association.

COMMENTS : Due to the risks associated with comments from unidentified contributors that expose The Beagle to possible legal actions under the NSW Defamation Act 2005 No 77 anonymous or Nom de Plume comments will not be available until an alternate system of author verification can be investigated and hopefully installed.

Those who provide their REAL NAME (first name AND Surname) and a verifiable email address (it won't be published) are invited to comment below. (yes it is a pain but please comply - it would be a  shame to see your comment deleted)

Those contributors KNOWN to us and verified may continue to use their First Name for ease. The primary need for all of this is due to traceability should a legal action arise.
