As part of the maintenance of the Kings Highway, Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Councill is undertaking roadworks on Brooks Hill between Bungendore and Queanbeyan.

To date, they have completed the vegetation, drainage and heavy patching works.

They are now focusing on a 380m section of the road near the bottom corner where they will be strengthening the pavement and correcting the shape. Work is well advanced and they expect the new gravel to arrive next week.

This section of road will not be sealed prior to the Easter break and the speed limit will be reduced to 60km/h. No work will be undertaken over the Easter break (work to stop at lunchtime next Thursday).

Following Easter, they hope to have the 380m section sealed by 6 April (weather permitting)
