A Midsummer Night's Dream - Bay Theatre Players

Two of Bay Theatre Players’ actresses are actually playing ‘boys’ in the current production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’!

It is a reversal of the traditions of the Tudor theatre when women were not allowed on stage and so female characters had to be played by young men.

But in BTP’s ‘Dream’, Jen Aspinall and Sam Lloyd take the roles of Demetrius and Lysander, young men both in love with Hermia, played by Eleanor Foster.

Jen and Sam are enjoying their role reversals.

Please come along and see if you can separate the girls from the boys!

There are only four shows left. So get your tickets now for this weekend’s performances, which include two matinees.

Seats are available from www.trybooking.com/343538. Tickets will also be available on Saturday from 10 am – 1 pm at the Playhouse, 33 Gregory Street, Batemans Bay, telephone (02) 4472 7580.

Or, for more information go to www.baytheatreplayers.org.au.
