Official launch of the new Country Pumpkins kids’ CD Pat the Possum at Moruya Markets at 10am Sat 3r

POSSUMBILITIES !

The official launch of the new Country Pumpkins kids’ CD Pat the Possum will be at Moruya Country Markets at 10am on Saturday, 3 Mar. The 9 songs on the album are all from the Pat the Possum Show which is an educational program for kids around the theme of recycling. The characters from the Show will all be at the launch: Pat the Possum, Lorikeet Sweet, Phil the Frillin’ Frill Necked Lizard and Isabelle Bird. There will be 5 CD’s given away at the launch to the first 5 people who can show that they are friends of Pat on facebook at www.facebook.com/countrypumpkinsband and copies of the CD will also be available to buy for $15. As well as the 9 songs on the album, all songs are repeated without the band singing so that kids can sing along to the songs themselves, karaoke style, and all the lyrics and chords can be found on the band website which is www.scobie.com.au . The Pat the Possum Show has been performed for the past 8 years from the Eden Fishermen’s Club in the south to the Gympie Muster in Queensland including many places in between such as the Tilba Festival, the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens near Mogo and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. A recent performance of the show was filmed and will be released in the near future but for now you can see one of the songs from the show, Spikeling Recycling, on the band’s facebook page. That song was also released as a single nationally on Monday, 19 Feb. The Pat the Possum Show was written by Michelle Scobie who plays bass and sings in the Country Pumpkins and the other members of the band are her husband, Graham, on vocals, guitar, mandolin and harmonica, Daniel Ostrosko on drums, Mary Couper on vocals, guitar and keyboards as well as Scott James on vocals, guitars and mandolins. Pat the Possum was recorded by Richard Cooke at Sanctuary Sound Studio at Central Tilba and Richard also produced the Spikeling Recycling film clip on facebook.
