Accident south of Nowra closes highway


The Princes Highway is closed after two people were killed in a crash south of Nowra.

About 5.20am today (Friday 23 February 2018), two vehicles collided head on the Princes Highway at Jerrawangala.

The drivers of both vehicles, a man and a woman, died at the scene. They were the sole occupants of their vehicles. The Princes Highway remains closed in both direction and police have urged motorists to avoid the area or delay their trip.

Police from the South Coast Police District have commenced an investigation into the incident and have urged anyone with information to contact police at Nowra or Crime Stoppers on 1 800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
