Senior Vet Takes Out Tuross Stableford 3 Club Event


Continuing the recent high number of players registering each week, a good field of 67 players teed off in this morning's Stableford 3 club event. For this event, apart from a mandatory putter, choice of clubs is flexible, but no more than 3 can be carried. Results on the day were as follows:

1st: Noel Fletcher, a sprightly 90 years of age, with a score of 22 points.

2nd: Teri Swanbury with 21 on count back.

3rd: Greg Ware also with 21.

Ball or Chocolate:

Graham Moore and Tim Skinner with 20, Paul Pereira, Gerry Magill, Alan McLeod, Richard Kelly and Rob Nash with 19, Denis Benger and Graham Pratt on 18, and finally Kathy Crossling, Les Johanson, Jennifer Gray, Paul Green and Ken Brown all scoring 17.

Bradman Award:

A count back was required to determine today's winner but Margaret Downey won out in the end.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Allen Lee, in the hole.

6th: Gerry Magill.

Ladies 7th: Annette Manton.

Men's 7th: Ken Brown, in the hole.

Accuracy:

Robin Green took out this week's award.

Next Week:

Next week's game will be a Par event with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am.
