Brainstorm boosts Studios’ future

Creative ideas flowed freely at Narooma School of Arts’ Studios last Thursday at a brainstorming session on making the old red cottage, now called the Studios, really buzz.

‘We’re delighted with the response from the 30 local artists and representatives from various interest groups who joined us on Thursday and their warmth and positive energy,’ said co-organiser Suzanne Dainer.

‘It means we start 2018 with a lot of wonderful ideas which we will work through.

‘We also had considerable interest from a number of people who were unable to make it on Thursday but who are keen to be involved.’

Marg Hansen facilitated the session.

The cottage is owned by Narooma School of Arts and is now being managed by a sub-committee of the School of Arts.

‘This has opened up exciting opportunities for its future use and will further enhance the local arts’ scene,’ Ms Dainer said.

The studios are available for casual and regular bookings by groups and individuals for arts, cultural and educational activities including classes, workshops and meetings.
