Below is the report of our local Far South Coast LAC - NSW Police Force

NAROOMA

About 10:30am 26 December 2017, police were notified of an Audi sedan overtaking erratically on the Princes Highway, Dalmeny.

Narooma Police stopped the vehicle at 10:45am at an RBT site.

A 29 year old male was issued a Field court attendance notice for Drive in a manner dangerous to the public and is to appear at Narooma Local Court on the 11 January 2018.

BATEMANS BAY

About 3.40pm on Saturday 23 December 2017, on George Bass Drive, Malua Bay a 53 year old male driver

was stopped at a stationary RBT site where he underwent a random breath test which returned a positive

result.

The male was arrested and conveyed back to Batemans Bay Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis which returned a positive result.

He was charged with high range drink driving and licence was suspended.

He was given conditional bail and is to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday 22nd of January 2018.

MORUYA

About 11.50pm on Saturday 23 December 2017, a 20 year old male P plate driver from Tuross Head was stopped on Queen Street, Moruya for a random breath test.

After a positive reading to alcohol, the driver was arrested and taken to Moruya Police Station where he underwent a BAS which returned a mid range reading.

His licence was suspended and he was issued a Field Court attendance Notice to attend the Moruya Local Court on the 9 February 2018.


MORUYA

Police stopped a 37 year old male driver from Batemans Bay driving a Holden Commodore sedan on the Princes Highway just north of Moruya at 5:44pm on Saturday 23 December 2017.

The man, who was the holder of a P1 Driver licence returned a positive roadside breath test. He was placed under arrest and conveyed to Moruya Police Station where a BAS result for mid range alcohol was obtained.

His licence was suspended and he was issued a Field court attendance notice to attend the Moruya Local Court on the 9 February 2018.

EDEN

About 10:20pm, 25 December 2017, police received calls in relation to a truck being driven erratically on the Princes Highway, north of Eden.

Eden Police located the vehicle stopped on the side of the highway, with its headlights on, keys in the ignition and the driver asleep.

The 51 year old male driver was woken and subjected to a roadside breath test which was positive for alcohol.

He was arrested and taken to Eden Police Station where he underwent a BAS test.

He was issued with a Field court attendance notice for High range PCA and licence was suspended.
