Tuross Head Country Club Veteran Golfers Celebrate Christmas

On Wednesday December 13th the Tuross Head Veteran Golfers celebrated when 125 players and guests enjoyed a Christmas lunch and end of year party at the Tuross Head Country Club 2 Waters Bistro.
The Mr. Meany fines session money collected throughout the year was put to good use when wine and drinks flowed freely while everyone enjoyed an excellent Christmas luncheon.
The event was organised by the veteran club committee working under president Ian Manton and his wife Annette and club captain Ian Miller and his wife Janette. Wonderful table settings, good vibes and the right atmosphere all led to a fun afternoon.
Best dressed male golfer was Peter McRae and best dressed female golfer Lyn Benger. Best decorated carts and golf buggy awards were also presented, and a raffle of 30 hampers and other prizes raised $1000.
Entertainment was provided by the Tuross Head Country Club Singers, Ian and Annette Manton, the Tuross Head Golfettes, Steve Johnston and Graham Heuston and Pat and Henry Anderson.
Entertainment was all sourced from club members and was introduced by Master of Ceremonies Michael Kermode. Michael Birks, President of the Tuross Head Country Club, fittingly thanked everyone and remarked how fortunate we were that organisations such as the veteran golf group existed and that we live in a township such as Tuross Head
