Cullendulla Drive road works to begin next week

Tony Swallow, works supervisor at ESC, has advised the LBCA that Council will be doing work on the section of Cullendulla Drive recently graded and resurfaced under the State Black Spot funding program.

Essentially, they need to correct a curve on the roadway that should have been 7% but has ended up at 5.5% so they will remove the current surface on a section of the road and grade and then resurface, at the same time they will correct the irregularity that LBCA members and residents have reported to the ESC to improve the overall road surface. After several weeks, they will apply a second seal to finish the road.

Tony advised that the funds to be used are still from the available Black Spot State Funding and there will be no cost to ESC ratepayers. (and no effect on any other project as the original works were brought in under budget and the funds to be used are from the same grant)

Work will begin early next week with two crews in order to get the work done quickly, expected to be completed in one week, weather permitting.

Please take note of all road signage and take care driving on Cullendulla Drive

There will be a council media release issued shortly
