If anybody in the community has seen Angel Rings, that are clearly in the wrong spot, such as an outdoor BBQ area, patio or garden area for decoration please contact the Police.
The rings are installed by ANSA members and are funded by the recreational fishers licence fees for the safety of all the community.
The rings are stamped advising they are provided by the Trust and they have an ANSA badge on them - that's the evidence the Police would be looking for if further action was to be taken! One has just been replaced at Preddies wharf, Moruya River. In Nelligen there have now been two that have gone missing with the one at Nelligen boat ramp/pontoon replaced only a couple of weeks ago. A further two have been provided to the Eden Fishing Club last week to replace rings that have been removed. The rings are for emergency use and the public are trusted to be responsible for these to ensure that they are available when required. To have them stolen (each is over $600) is a blow to the community. If you have any information at all or if you see anyone tampering or removing these rings please contact the police.
