Pop Up Moruya Town & Visitor Information Centre

The request for volunteers at the Moruya Town & Visitor Information Centre has been positive. The PopUp visitor centre, situated within Moruya Books, now needs more volunteers to complete the roster, can you help?

To volunteer contact Janice Sagar on 4474 2242 or email chamber@moruya.nsw.au. Or drop into Moruya Books in Church Street where you can put your name and preferred days on the Volunteer Schedule. The Moruya Town & Visitor Information Centre will operate 5 and a half days a week from Monday 4 December to Saturday 28 January 2018. The Chamber is seeking volunteers for half or full days through December and January.

The Moruya Town & Visitor Information Centre promotes local activities. Offering suggestions of drives, through local villages, attractions, camping facilities, beaches, cafes, events, shopping and experiences, promoting local businesses and showcasing Moruya as a great place to stop and stay.

The PopUp is a Moruya Business Chamber initiative that does not receive government funding, so volunteers are essential for its success. Volunteering at the PopUp is fun and social, and training about the local area is provided. You will meet visitors and locals, be part of the Christmas and New Year buzz in Moruya and be part of a team that is contributing in the promotion of Moruya’s authentic town identity. To make the task easier the South Coast Travel Guide has come on board with 1000 cards to direct visitors to the newly set up Eurobodalla tourism website that promotes all of the activities, accommodation and eating options in the shire and features the 80+ flyers and leaflets that are normally stocked at Visitor Centres. The Pop-Up will also have other local flyers and brochures available to assist volunteers in being able to offer local tourism information.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
