Turns out that Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce was a Kiwi. The High Court today ruled his election invalid and he will now face a by-election

Which is going to put the government's majority by one seat in jeopardy.

The High Court has also found both Greens Senator Scott Ludlam and Greens Senator Larissa Waters had not been validly elected and also found that Senator Fiona Nash and One Nation's Malcolm Roberts were not validly elected.

Four those positions the High Court has ordered their seats be filled by a re-count of ballots.

Senator Matthew Canavan was found to be validly elected as was Senator Nick Xenophon.
