THCC Stableford Golf Win to Greg Smith

With the threat of showers early in the morning a good field of 51 players registered for this morning's Stableford event. Results on the day were as follows:

1st: Greg Smith with 23 points on count back.

2nd: Henry Anderson also with 23.

3rd: Mike Birks on 22 points on a four way count back.

Ball or Chocolate:

Greg Thornton, Ron Hanlon and Alan McLeod on 22, Wal Williams and Graham Moore on 21, Warren Hodder on 20, and the following players all on 19 on count back, Solveig Olsson, Rob Nash, David Williams, Paul Green and Errol Soden.

Bradman Award:

Sam Anderson, a visitor, was very hard done by at the hands of the handicapper and took out today's award.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Greg Smith.

6th: Richard Kelly.

Ladies 7th: Gail Rogers.

Men's 7th: Richard Kelly.

Accuracy Award:

Kay McLeod took out the award this week with a very accurate drive alongside the centre string line.

Next Week:

Next week's event will be a Stroke and Putts game with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am. Players are reminded that the next once a month Monday Stableford game, employing Mulligan rules, will be held on Monday 13 November. Register by 9.15am for a 9.30am start.
