Two Sisters Lao and Thai comes to Broulee

For the many south coast residents and our visitors from Canberra Two Sisters is a Lao Thai culinary delight on any visit to Canberra for those who enjoy Lao and Thai food. With a recent move to Broulee and the acquisition of The Lodge Motel Two Sisters has expanded to the south coast and is now offering takeaway on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and are setting up for 7 day trading over the peak season of summer. For those not familiar with the story of the sisters, Naly and Sisouk, they were raised in a small village in Champasack, Southern Laos. Naly and Sisouk were exposed to the art of cooking and preparing authentic Laotian food at a very young age. Bounded by their love for Lao cuisine, the two sisters bought forth their dream of sharing Lao and Thai cuisine to the restaurant market in Canberra. Determined to incorporate as much of their mother’s traditional recipes into their menu as possible, both Naly and Sisouk set about recreating a homely atmosphere for diners. The two sisters opened their first restaurant in Mawson in 1996. While it proved to be a small venture, the small eatery was modest success giving the sisters the opportunity to expand to Dickson. Since Two Sisters Lao Thai Cuisine Dickson’s opening in 1998, the two sisters have spent almost two decades experimenting, modifying and perfecting their dishes. Now with a second restaurant in Civic, the sisters aim to continue impressing their enthusiasm for the Lao and Thai Cuisine for many more decades in the future. Two Sisters on Wheels is a new expansion into the south coast, much to the joy and delight of Broulee residents however word is quickly spreading and it isn't at all unusual now to see out of town family groups at picnic tables in Broulee with a Lao takeway Both Naly and Sisouk hope that all lovers of both Lao and Thai cuisine rediscover the joy of home cooking Two Sisters’ style and try their new south coast enterprise. Located at The Lodge, Broulee Two Sisters on Wheels offers takeaway Lao and Thai Fri, St and Sunday from 5pm to 9pm (trading seven days in peak season) .
