Tuross Head Phyllis Starr "Tin Cup" Winners

With the prospect of a free lunch after the game a good field of 54 players registered for this morning's 2 Person Ambrose event.

Players were also vying for the Phyllis Starr "tin cup", a trophy presented each quarter by long time stalwart veteran golfer Tim Starr in memory of his late wife Phyllis. Results on the day were as follows:

1st: The pairing of Michael Kermode and Don Russell with a nett score of 30.25.

2nd: Husband and wife Ian and Jeanette Miller on 31 on count back.

3rd: Tony Crook and Ken Brown also on 31.

Ball or Chocolate:

Teri and Steve Swanbury on 31.5, Mike Birks teamed with Herb Muriwai, Chris Wratten and Noel Downie, Annette and Ian Manton, all teams with a score of 32.75, Jennifer Grey and Rob Nash on 33.25, and finally Kay and Allen McLeod on 33.5 on count back.

Bradman Award:

The winners this week were Rick Brake and Patrick Sager.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Graham Moore, in the hole.

6th: Jennifer Gray.

Ladies 7th: Leonie Snodgrass.

Men's 7th: Greg Smith.


Tim Starr took out the award this week.

Next Week:

Next week's game is a Single Stableford event with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am.
