Vessel adrift and then runs aground in Moruya River

Marine Rescue Batemans Bay has worked with a Fire & Rescue NSW Hazmat crew and Roads and Maritime Services to place pollution booms around a large vessel that has run aground on the incoming tide near the Moruya Bridge.

Masters Keith Wrench and Matt Mason, along with crew member David Murn, were deployed on board Batemans 21 when a report was received earlier this evening of the vessel adrift in the river before it grounded.

Attempts will be made to move the vessel at high tide.
