Tina Philip honoured at Investiture


In the Queen's Birthday 2017 Honours this year, Tina Philip of Lilli Pilli received an Order of Australia Medal. Tina recently attended the Investiture Ceremony at Government House Canberra meeting Governor-General of Australia, General Sir Peter John Cosgrove, AK, MC on September 8th. Her award is one of Australia's highest accolades and was given for her services to mental health over many years. "Muddy Puddles is thrilled to share news that long-time volunteer board member Tina Philip has received an Order of Australia Medal." said Muddy Puddles CEO Cate McMath "She is one of nine volunteer board members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to better the lives of vulnerable children and young people in the Eurobodalla. "We are so proud of her and would like to take the opportunity to recognise her incredible achievement.

Service includes:Director, 'Muddy Puddles', since 2016 (education and therapy services for children and teenagers with a disability or developmental delay). Contributed to the establishment of the Eurobodalla Mental Health Service. Mental Health Education Liaison Officer, South Eastern New South Wales Division of General Practice, 1998-2003. Mental Health Education Officer, Australian Rural Nurses and Midwives, 2005-2011. Founding Member, Eurobodalla Suicide Prevention Information Referral Intervention Team, 1997. Founder, Eurobodalla Suicide Survivors Support Group, 1994. Founding Member, Eurobodalla Association of the Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill, 1986. Founding Member, South Coast Community Consultative Committee, 1995.
