When I was shopping to day someone told me that the general manager of the council is going to get a very big pay package. I read the beagle a fair bit and I know from what knowledgeable people have said that the general manager has stuffed up on more than one occasion and has given all sorts of wrong advice to councillors. Now they are going to give her a bonus for her high performance marks. Where is the evidence and why is it so secret.If she gets a pay rise the councillors better be ready to bloody well tell us why we ratepayers have to fork out more. What has she done? This council is as open and transparent as my ar$*. At the council meeting when her contract was being looked at again, she even made sure that the community didn’t know thats what the meeting was about. You got to be kidding me. If it wasn't for McGinlay and the beagle we wouldnt have found out that her advice was such a cock up that they had to release the minutes to the public. And she keeps getting away with it - because we have such dopey councillors except for McGinlay and Constable who bother to ask questions. And who is this general manager. I have never seen her around. What does she do. What has she done is more to the point. At least Levy and Ratcliff and even Anderson made a mark and got out there and shook some hands and kicked some dirt. I watch the meetings on the internet when I remember to. You never see or hear anything from the councillors, except Phil from Narooma and Pat the irishman. The rest are hopeless. A few don’t even know what day it is and the others grandstand like roosters. I've rung most of them at some point and left messages but they don't ring back except McGinlay. The others are a disgrace and puppets to a puppet master.
