Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens 2017 Photographic Competition 20th Sep



2017 Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden photographic exhibition You are invited to the 2017 Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden photographic exhibition. Cast a vote in the Peoples Choice Award and help decide which entries will feature in our 2018 calendar. A Friends of Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens intitative in partnership with Eurobodalla Shire Council. When: 20 September to 8 October, open daily from 9am to 4pm Where: Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden, Gardens Visitors Centre Friends of Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens in partnership with the Eurobodalla Shire Council have given photographers the opportunity to enter the Gardens

2018 Photographic Competition.

All the entrants you will see exhibited will have a chance to win cash prizes and have their images selected for inclusion in the 2018 Botanic Gardens Calendar. Funds raised from the sale of this popular calendar are used to support the further development of the Botanic Gardens and its important role in the conservation of the region’s flora.

The competition will see prizes awarded in a junior section (under 18) and a senior section. The public will have the opportunity to vote on their favourite image, which will win the

People’s Choice Award.

The SECTIONS

· Senior section- winner will receive $500.00 donated by the Batemans Bay Soldiers

’Club.

Second is a $50 Voucher for merchandise/Plants at the Gardens

· Junior section winner will receive $300.00.

· People’s Choice Award winner will receive $250.00

The CATEGORIES

· Flora/fungi images may be of flowering/non-flowering plants and can include mosses and fungi found in the Gardens

· Textures & Patterns in nature · Landscape – can include structures, people and/or wildlife

· Fur & Feathers – any animal/birdlife found in the Gardens

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
