On a national broadcast last week it was proposed that the Australian government wants to give the Indonesian government 300 million dollars to build 10 new Balis for Aussies to use for holidays and up pops our Mayor pushing the point that if the government want to spend money then pristine Eurobodalla is the place to invest. Well Ms Mayor that’s all well and good except there was absolutely no mention of what she plans to do with our already failing infrastructure that doesn’t cope at all well with existing volumes of tourist traffic nor the major issue that a lot of us see is how do you get people to invest in a tourism future in this shire when everytime someone proposes something along those lines it gets shot down by the green minority civil libber do gooders together with certain council staff. In the last 10 years we have seen developers of all forms just totally give up and move to other areas with their ideas. Everything from concerts,aged care facilities,water based activities. Huntfest and the like have come up against it and yet our mayor will have you believe its open door for the developer dollar and that is far from the truth.. Pete Ward Moruya
