I am pleased to announce that the 2017/18 Eden-Monaro Stronger Communities Grant Program is now open and I am encouraging local governments, community groups, sporting clubs, and other non-profit organisations to apply.
The Stronger Communities Program has been set up to help deliver social benefits in communities by providing grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 to community organisations and local governments for capital projects.
Up to $150,000 will be allocated to projects with in Eden-Monaro on the advice of a community consultation committee who will review all applications. Successful applications are then submitted to the Government for review and final sign off.
To be eligible your project must deliver social benefits to your community, include eligible activities and eligible expenditure, and have at least $5,000 in eligible expenditure.
Please note that your organisation will need to provide 50% matched funding in cash or kind and your project should be scheduled for completion by 30 June 2018.
If you have a project that could be assisted by this Commonwealth Grant I encourage you to start planning as soon as possible.
