April 1st and autumn approaches. Daylight saving ends at 2:00 am on Sunday 2 April 2017. It is now more than 10 years since smoke alarms in homes became law in NSW and most smoke alarms don’t last 10 years. This Sunday please check that you have at least one working smoke alarm per level of your home and check to make sure it’s not over 10 years old. Many also take the opportunity to replace the battery in readiness for the approaching winter.
