Man died following a single vehicle crash in Batemans Bay this morning


A man has died following a single vehicle crash in Batemans Bay this morning.

About 7.15am (Friday 16 June 2017), emergency services were called to the Princess Highway, following reports of a crash.

Police have been told a Mitsubishi Triton utility left the roadway, crashing into mangroves.

The driver and sole occupant, a 50-year-old man, was removed from the vehicle. Despite CPR attempts, the man died.

Officers from the Far South Coast Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the driver may have suffered a medical episode.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
